The DUSVA is committed to serving those and their families who have served, along with those who are currently serving our great nation through military service.

OUR Mission

The purpose of the University of Denver Student Veterans Association shall be to increase awareness and understanding of Veteran issues on campus, in the local community, and nationally. Additionally, the DUSVA seeks to promote success of University of Denver Student Veterans through service, leadership, and scholarship. The organization intends to assist veterans in making successful transitions from military to college life by creating a social and professional support network, educating veterans on the benefits they are entitled, and providing a welcoming atmosphere to the University of Denver.





To provide Veterans, Military, and Families with additional benefits, services, and support.

To promote and pursue the legislative goals that the national SVA is pursuing. This would include providing a lobby for veteran's rights and privileges, both nationally and locally.

To promote and build the spirit of community among DU Veterans. 

To provide transition support for current, incoming, and prospective veteran students. 

To provide the veteran community a voice on the campus with both the student government and University administration.

To provide opportunities for student veterans to network in support of internship, post-graduation employment, and graduate school opportunities. 

To promote and conduct service and outreach events and activities on and off campus and to promote partnerships with veteran organizations in the local community.
